CreatorTools exists because the AI video tool space is full of review sites that rank every tool 4.5–5 stars and recommend whichever pays the highest affiliate commission. We built CreatorTools to do the opposite.
We test every AI video tool on the same five standardised editing tasks using the same source footage. Every score is based on actual task performance — not marketing claims. We publish genuine ratings including tools we scored below 4/5 (CapCut scores 4.0 and Veed.io scores 3.8 — those ratings are published honestly).
CreatorTools is funded by display advertising — not affiliate commissions. Our ad network (currently AdSense, transitioning to Ezoic then Mediavine) places relevant ads across our pages. The revenue model means our rankings are independent of which tools have affiliate programs: we have no financial incentive to rank any tool higher than its test scores justify.
Every tool is tested on the same five tasks: (1) cut a 30-minute interview to a 5-minute highlight, (2) auto-generate captions for a 10-minute mixed-accent video, (3) generate 3 vertical Shorts from a 20-minute long-form video, (4) clean background noise from a recording, (5) generate AI B-roll for a talking-head segment.
